A blessing by John Smith Patriarch upon the head of John Marriott son of John and Frances born Northamptonshire England March 6th 1817. Brother John in the name of Jesus Christ I lay my hands upon thy head and seal upon you a fathers blessing - Even all the blessings of Abraham Isaac and Jacob by the Priesthood that was sealed upon the children of Ephraim by his father Jacob for this is thy lineage and thou are a lawful heir of the everlasting Priesthood which shall be conferred upon you in due time revealing unto you mysteries that have been kept hid from before the foundation of the world you are one of the house of Ephraim appointed to rush the people together from the ends of the earth. No power shall prevail against you. Shall go to any country that seemeth good unto you, shall speak the language of any people wherever your lot is cast. Shall baptize thousands and lead them to Zion cause the Kings of the Gentiles to consecrate their treasures for the gathering of Israel. Your name shall be had in honorable remembrance through your posterity which shall be very numerous and great in the Priesthood. You shall live if you desire it until Israel is gathered from every portion of the earth and shall eat bread in the Redeemer's kingdom with him over the earth and partake of all the blessings and branches of glories of Zion with all your Fathers house. Even so Amen.
